Q. WhAt SHOULD I WEAR?
We ask that guests wear either traditional Indian attire or Global Black Tie to the ceremony and reception. We would love for you to represent your culture and traditions! We’ll be updating this page with some suggestions on where you can find Indian attire, if you so choose.
Q. Should I Rent a car?
We don’t recommend that you rent a car. Most activities will be at the resort and transportation will be arranged for otherwise. We recommend that you take a Lyft from the airport to the resort and a hotel shuttle back. If you are planning to extend your trip to explore Utah, we suggest that you rent your car after the wedding (or return it before the wedding).
Q. Is there childcare at the resort?
Yes! Absolutely. Snowbird contracts a very well-qualified childcare firm, Superior Childcare, that runs the child care center on site (they are opening the center this summer for the first time). You can drop infants and kids off during the day till 4:30 pm at the center in Cliff Lodge for a fixed fee based on the number of hours required. After 4:30 pm babysitters are available for individual hire starting at $22/hour. If you would like to pool your childcare with other wedding guests please let us know and we can help arrange it (up to 3 kids per sitter).
Q. What time is check-in?
Check in is at 4pm. We have tried to negotiate early check-in with our wonderful lodging contacts. They are willing to allow guests to enter rooms if the room is available, but they are unable to make promises since this is a large resort with many logistics to coordinate. We recommend that you check in the night before the first event you plan to attend.
q. How worried should i be about altitude?
The altitude should not be a problem for most people. However, we recommend that you practice a higher degree of self awareness while at the resort (7,000 ft) and at the ceremony (11,000 ft). Drink lots of water and pace yourself when drinking alcohol. If you need assistance, please let us know.
